The excavator became a universal tool carrier, which resulted in a much higher level of machine utilization and efficiency, bringing these advantages in turn to our customers. So it all started with the hydraulic breaker and Epiroc’s knowhow in this field is unique. Our innovations in breaker technology over the years speak for themselves: Combined Gas/Oil technology, the Solid Body concept, breakers without side bolts, AutoControl, and so on. But it hasn’t stopped there … since then many other hydraulically driven tools have been added to the well-known Epiroc product family we call Hydraulic Attachment Tools.

Raiseboring Machines
Epiroc’s range of raiseboring machines includes models for both conventional raise and boxhole boring as well as down reaming and it covers diameters from 0,5m up to over 6m. The machines are used in both civil engineering and mining applications for drilling shafts for ventilation, drainage, ore passes, back fills, hoisting, slotholes, and penstocks for hydro power plants. Features include drill pipe handling for easy and safe pipe handling as well as the computerized Rig Control System, RCS, which improves drilling accuracy, equipment reliability, and serviceability.
