Technologies

Green Innovations uses a wide range of technologies. For wastewater treatment, these include conventional activated sludge systems (CAS), sequencing batch reactors (SBR), moving bed biofilm reactors (MBBR), and Fixed Activated Sludge Treatment (FAST). Green Innovations also offers Septage Treatment Plants (SpTPs) and desalination systems using seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) Plants.

Conventional Activated Sludge (CAS)

In CAS, oxygen is continuously introduced in the aeration tank. This enables the bacteria to feed on the organic substances and reproduce, thereby removing pollutants. The two basic components in this process are the aeration and clarification tank.

Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR)

The SBR is a fill-and-draw-activated sludge process. In this system, wastewater is added to a single ‘batch’ reactor, treated to remove undesirable components, and discharged. Aeration and clarification are combined in a single tank.

Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR)

The MBBR employs thousands of biofilm carriers operating in mixed motion within an aerated wastewater treatment basin. It’s high-density population of bacteria achieves a high-rate biodegradation within the system.

Septage Treatment Plant (SpTP)

Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWROs)

Desalination using reverse osmosis is a technology that involves passing clean salt water at high pressure through special membranes. This technology separates the less saline water as product and discharges the concentrate as waste.

Fixed Activated Sludge Treatment (FAST)

The FAST (Fixed Activated Sludge Treatment) process employs a unique hybrid combination of attached and suspended growth in an aerobic, packed bed bioreactor.
