Q: My Generator won’t start, what should I do?

A: If the generator has been in your possession for quite a while. there’s a possibility that it’ll be hard to start. Before calling our service for help, try these procedures first:

Check the oil level.
Check fuel level and add if needed, make sure fuel has not been contaminated or did not go stale.
Change/check your spark plugs.
Make sure that the generator’s fuel valve is open.

Q: What type of oil should I use for my generator?

A: There are two types of engine oil. For gasoline generators, use SAE-30 or multigrade 5W-30W. For diesel generators use SAE-40.

Q: What type of fuel should I use for my generator?

A: For diesel engine generators, use diesel. For gasoline generators, use unleaded gasoline. USING THE WRONG FUEL WILL DAMAGE YOUR GENERATOR.

Q: Where can I get service or maintenance parts and warranty for my machine?

A: Some of our retailers are also service partners. In addition, we have approximately 40 accredited service centers across the country (with an insert in your operator manual kit). Q: How can I connect my portable generator to my house?

A: A portable generator can work for your house provided that you have chosen the right specifications and watt usage of the appliances you want to run through the generator. Note:

If your generator is used as a stand-by power source when utility power failure occurs, take note that a licensed and registered electrician should install your generator and that it must comply with the local electrical code.
Please do not run your generator inside your house for it emits carbon dioxide, which can be detrimental for you and your family’s health.

Q: When do I shut the generator down?

A: The generator you purchased should always be shut down when it’s refueling, during some checkings, and oil addition.

Q: Can I apply load to the generator while it is not running?

A: No, you cannot. You must have the generator run before a load is applied to it. Moreover, remove the load before you shut it down. Tampering with the engine speed is not allowed since the RPM.s are factory set.

Q: How often do I need to have my generator running?

A: It is highly recommended that your generator should undergo a test run once a month together with a 30% load.

Q: Where should I keep my generator when I am not using it?

A: The best place to keep your generators in is within a clean and dry place that is well ventilated and is away from flames or sparks.

Q: How can I maintain my generator if it is powered by diesel?

A: Maintaining diesel operated generators are more tedious than generators which are run by gasoline. Here are the different procedures in maintaining diesel-powered generators:

A. Daily Measures

Check the genset for loose parts; signs of corrosion on parts, traces, and dust build up. Make sure the coolant heater is securely in place and inspect it for signs of wear Check the oil level and add oil if necessary Make sure that the charge-air piping is connected securely to the radiator and inspect it for signs of wear.

B. Weekly Measures

Check the air cleaner for debris and clean it if necessary. Check the float voltage reading on the battery charger and adjust the voltage as necessary. Drain the water from the bottom of the fuel filter housing. Drain the water from the bottom of the fuel tank until the diesel fuel appears.

C. Monthly Measures

Take a sample of the coolant with hydrometer and check its concentration by referring to the service manual from the manufacturer Check the belt for proper tension and inspect it for signs of wear Drain the condensate from the condensate trap. Check the charge on the starting battery and examine the connections for looseness and corrosion.

D. Semiannual Measures

Replace the oil and oil filter, regardless of whether the genset has been used in a non-simulated power outage. Replace the coolant filter, regardless of whether the genset has been used in a non-simulated power outage. Clean the crankcase breather according to the service manual from the manufacturer. Replace the air cleaner element, regardless of the level of debris accumulation Check the connection of the radiator hoses and inspect for signs of wear. Change the fuel filter, regardless of the level of sediment accumulation

E. Annual Measurements

The genset should have a thorough annual cleaning of its cooling system

Q: How long is the warranty period of my product?

A: If a generator is solely purchased for consumer applications, the warranty is good for one year starting from the date of purchase of the generator. Meanwhile, if the generator is purchased for business or commercial applications, the warranty period will be ninety (90) days from the date of purchase.

Q: What are the requirements needed if ever I ask for warranty service?

A: If you ask for warranty service, you must show dated proof of purchase and you must notify the company within the warranty period.

Q: When can I use the warranty service of the product?

A: The warranty service covers the repairs and other replacement of any part provided that:

There is no obvious evidence of misuse or abuse.
There were no repairs attempted by people not authorized by the company.
There were no changes, modifications, additions or deletions that were made to the product after its delivery.
The product has not been used for applications that it is not designed for.
