Alternative Route to Filinvest Corporate City
Starting last February 22, the Filinvest Exit (southbound side) was closed to traffic in line with the ongoing rehabilitation of the 1.2-kilometer Alabang viaduct. Motorists coming from Manila intending to exit to Filinvest Corporate City and the Las Pinas area must take the alternative route through the temporary South Station toll plaza. Instead of taking the Filinvest interchange, vehicles should turn right to Bunye Road, right before the Alabang viaduct.
The South Luzon Tollway Corporation (SLTC) made it clear that both sides of the Alabang viaductwill remain open to traffic throughout the 20-month duration of the project. The Filinvest exit will likewise remain open to northbound vehicles or those entering from the Laguna area. Directional signs and traffic enforcers will be visible at all times to guide motorists and ensure smooth traffic flow.
By the last quarter of 2008, southern travelers can look forward to a better driving experience with a brand new and expanded Alabang viaduct. This is the first phase of a major South Luzon Expressway upgrade which includes the widening of the Alabang-Calamba stretch to eight lanes and the extension of the expressway all the way to Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
